A woman in waiting
So idly sits.
Eyes filled with sadness,
Internal fits.
Through her window
She gazes,
Though does not even see,
What a beautiful woman
She so happens to be.
So selfless.
So loving.
What a wonder is she!
Inside and out,
I admire her beauty.
No one can know
What she has endured,
Except for Christ Jesus.
Our Savior, Our Lord.
What inspired this poem, Beth? I'm curious.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe at this post - It is simply beautifully written. Did you write this? I am deeply moved by this very short but simple poem, such power written within it - It's gorgeous! Thank you for sharing ;)
ReplyDeleteI've been writing poetry my whole life...I love it but just recently started getting back into it. Just started this blog in November! I get my writing ability not only from God, but my late Grandma!
